Candlelighters
Childhood Cancer Foundation
Each
year in the United States, approximately 13,500 children will
be told that they have cancer. This means that each and every
school day, 46 children - two entire classrooms of children
- are diagnosed with cancer. Despite the increasing success
of treatment, childhood cancer remains the number one disease
killer of our children. One third will die from their disease.
Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation has been
providing support, education and advocacy for the littlest
cancer patients and their families since 1970. With services
now being provided through the national office as well as
more than 275 local chapters, we have become the largest childhood
cancer support foundation in the US. All services are provided
without charge and include: educational books; national newsletter;
hot-line; local support group meetings; family activities;
in hospital support programs and national advocacy. Your kind
contribution, enables us to continue providing needed services
to the littlest cancer patients, as they face the battle for
their lives ...because kids can’t fight cancer alone!
