Starlight
Starbright Children's Foundation is an international non-profit
organization dedicated to making a world of difference for
seriously ill children and their families.
When
a child or teenager has a serious medical condition, everyone
in the family is affected. The kids, their parents and siblings
must struggle, in different ways, to grapple with the intrusion
of illness or serious injury to their lives. We understand
what families go through when a child is sick, and how important
it is for families to find relief from constant worry and
isolation. Our entertainment, education and family activity
programs have been proven to distract children from their
pain, help them better understand and manage their illnesses,
and connect families facing similar challenges so that no
one feels alone.

Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Canada
Consider
those people who were role models during your youth and how
important they were.
Canadian
boys and girls in lone-parent families face the prospect of
a childhood without the added guidance and support many of
us took for granted. Each donation made to Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Canada improves the lives of over 24,000
children across Canada. Everyone wins when you donate. You
will feel the satisfaction from making real, concrete changes
in the life of a child. Each Big Brother or Sister will feel
an equal sense of accomplishment and have a new friend with
whom to share time. Most of all, each child we serve will
benefit from this new, unique relationship. The impact is
unmistakably clear. Our Little Brothers and Sisters are more
likely to advance to post-secondary education, and are less
likely to rely on social assistance in their adult years.
Remember, not only are you helping to raise great children,
you will help to shape healthy adults.

"Let
me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt"
Special
Olympics Canada was founded on the very simple premise
that people with an intellectual disability, need and are
entitled to the same opportunities to train, compete, to interact
and to live their lives as we do. By participating in Special
Olympics programs, athletes build confidence, physical and
emotional strengths, through the disciplines of organized
sport. Your contribution helps pave the way for more than
31,000 Canadian athletes to participate in sports training
and competitions on local, national and international levels.
Special Olympics Canada - enriching the lives of Canadians
with an intellectual disability, through sport.
